The 8th Norway-India Joint Working Group Maritime meeting took place recently in Mumbai, India.

Key Highlights of the Meeting

– Use of alternative fuels like green ammonia and hydrogen for futuristic shipping. – India and Norway are part of the Green Voyage 2050 project. – The Hongkong Convention for Recycling of Ships is signed by India.

Maritime India Vision

The Indian Prime Minister unveiled the Marine India Vision 2030, a ten-year plan for the maritime industry, at the Maritime India Summit in November 2020.

India-Norway Joint Working Group

Norway has technical competence in the maritime industry, and India has enormous potential for growth in the maritime industry, making the two countries natural complementary partners.

Norwegian Delegation

The meeting comprised a discussion of the effectiveness of the Norwegian Green Shipping Program and the Norwegian delegation will also attend the Maritime ShEO conference, Green Shipping Conclave, and INMARCO.
