- Textile and Apparel Industry: Significant growth in investments and employment.
- Automobile Sector: Investments have increased ninefold since 2001, with a twelvefold jump in manufacturing output.
- Dyes and Intermediates Manufacturing: Gujarat contributes 75% to India’s manufacturing in this sector.
- Agro and Food Processing: Gujarat has the highest share of investment in this industry, with more than 30,000 operational food processing units.
- Medical Devices Manufacturing: Over 50% of India’s medical devices manufacturing and about 80% of cardiac stents manufacturing take place in Gujarat.
- Diamonds: Gujarat contributes more than 70% of the world’s diamonds and 80% of India’s diamond exports.
- Ceramics: The state has a 90% share in the Indian ceramic market, with around 10,000 manufacturing units for ceramic tiles, sanitary ware, and related products.
