Aspirant has first to clear a multi-stage selection process for the UPSC CMS exam 2024 to become an officer. For that, one should have an idea about the UPSC CMS Exam Pattern, which includes a written exam, interview, document verification, and a medical examination. The written exam pattern itself consists of two objective-type MCQ papers (Paper I and Paper II) set entirely in English. Each paper carries a maximum of 250 marks. Paper I focuses on General Medicine and Pediatrics. Paper II is divided into three parts with 40 questions each. There’s a penalty for incorrect answers, with one-third of a mark being deducted for each wrong choice.
