UKPSC Mains Exam Date 2024 Postponed

The UKPSC had originally scheduled the Combined State Civil/Upper Subordinate Services Main Examination to take place from November 16, 2024 (Saturday), to November 19, 2024 (Tuesday). The exams were to be conducted at various centers in Haridwar and Haldwani, two major locations for competitive examinations in the state.

However, in compliance with the Hon’ble High Court’s directive, the examination has now been postponed until further notice. The decision was made in light of the legal proceedings associated with Writ Petition No. 704 (S/B) of 2024, filed by Himanshu Tomar against the State of Uttarakhand and Others. The court’s judgment, dated November 14, 2024, required the postponement as per Notification No. A-2/E-1/PCS/2023-24, issued earlier in March 2024.

Uttarakhand PCS 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) typically include: Nationality Candidates must be Indian citizens. In some cases, eligibility may extend to citizens of Nepal or Bhutan as per specific requirements. UKPSC Educational Qualifications

UKPSC Exam Pattern 2024

The three stages of the Uttarakhand PCS Exam are as follows.
The Preliminary stage will be the first and will consist of two objective-based question papers.
After passing the preliminary exam, candidates will be qualified to take the main exam.
After the start of the main examination, candidates who passed the main examination will be interviewed.
Every question in the Main examination, except the language paper, carries 200 marks.
There will be 7 question papers in the main exam, and the language question paper will be worth 300 marks.
Interviews will be the final step in the hiring process. After passing the interview, candidates will then be chosen for the exam.

UKPSC exam selection process follows a three-stage approach:
