ICC T20 World Cup Winners List
The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is the international championship of 20 overs. The International Cricket Council (ICC), cricket’s governing body, is in charge of organizing the competition, which has 20 teams with automatic qualification for the top 12 teams from the previous competition. At the same time, the eight additional teams were selected through regional qualifying rounds.
The T20 World Cup generally takes place every two years. However, the ICC later abandoned the plan after the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy. The T20 World Cup 2020 edition was supposed to take place in Australia; however, owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, the date was rescheduled to 2021, with India serving as the new host. Due to issues related to the COVID-19 pandemic in India, which occurred five years after the previous (2016) edition, the T20 World Cup was later moved to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman.
