Q) What are the various approaches to GDP estimation in an economy? Which approach is followed by India and why?(10 marks, 150 words)

Demand of the Question– The question demands understanding of basics of GDP, methods of estimation, and approaches, what approach is adopted by India and why.

Directive Word– What- This keyword demands mentioning of the methods to estimate GDP. Which and why- Mentioning of the method adopted by India and the reason for it.

Structure of the Answer

Intro– Define GDP. Use data to state what is current GDP, and who computes it.

Body– In the first part, mention and explain the ways in which GDP is estimated. Also mention in which circumstance which method is best suited. In the second part, give reasons for which method is used in India. Describe and elaborate on the factors used in the first part. And in the last part, mention a few shortfalls.

Conclusion– Conclude by stating the importance of GDP in economy and better ways of estimation of economy than GDP.

Structure of the Answer

Intro– Mention the definition of money, and its functions in economy.

Body– In the first part, give description of functions of money, and add examples. In the second part, mention what are the pros and cons of money in an economy. In the last part, mention what are the alternatives and when and why and upto what limits they are used.

Conclusion– State the importance of money in an economy, along with it mention alternatives that have emerged with shortfalls of both.

गुणवत्तापूर्ण शिक्षा के लिए शिक्षा प्रक्रिया में समुदाय की भागीदारी एक पूर्व शर्त है। स्पष्ट कीजिये

Demand of the Question– The question demands understanding of society, community development, and role of community in imparting and developing education.

Directive Word– Explain- This question demands establishing the statement with reasons and examples. Along with it, another side of the coin with shortcomings of this approach is also to be mentioned.

Structure of the Answer

Intro– State data about education, especially primary education or ASER report data. And link it with the role of community in education.

Body– In the first part, mention reasons how community participation can affect, influence and better education. In the second part, mention how it is a precondition to quality education along with reason and case studies. In the final part, use the contrary as what if there is no community participation, what are consequences and alternatives to it.

Conclusion– Conclude by stating the importance of this approach to impart quality education, and need for this in India.
