Steps to Apply Online for SSC Stenographer?

Part I: One-Time Registration

1. Visit the Official SSC Website: Head to ssc.gov.in and click on ‘Register Now’ in the login section.
2. Enter Basic Details: Fill in your basic details, including name, date of birth, and gender.
3. Upload Scanned Images: Upload your photograph and signature as per the specified dimensions.
4. Provide Identity Details: Enter your Aadhaar number or any other identity card number.
5. Educational Details: Provide information about your Class 10 examination and highest educational qualification.
6. Contact Information: Enter a valid mobile number and email ID. Confirm these details through OTPs sent to your mobile and email.
7. Create Login Credentials: Upon confirmation, you will receive a registration number and password via SMS and email.

Part II: Filling the Online Application Form

1. Log In: Use your registration number and password to log in.
2. Select Exam Centre Preferences: Choose three exam centers in the order of preference.
3. Medium of Test: Select the medium for the test, either English or Hindi.
4. Select Post: Choose the post you are applying for.
5. Fee Payment: Pay the application fee of INR 100 through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or using a credit/debit card. SC, ST, women, and ESM candidates are exempted from fee payment.
6. Submit Application: After entering all details and paying the fee, click on the ‘Final Submit’ button.
7. Print Application: Take a printout of the application form for your records.
