SSC GD Eligibility 2025, Check Age Limit, Educational Qualification

Candidates preparing for the SSC GD Recruitment should know the detailed eligibility criteria before submitting the SSC GD online form 2025. SSC GD Constable Eligibility Criteria 2025

The Commission sets the eligibility criteria for selecting candidates based on educational qualifications, age limits, age relaxation, nationality, and the number of candidate attempts. The candidate’s age must be between 18 and 23 years. Basic eligibility requires that a candidate be an Indian national with basic education qualifications, which is a 10th pass from a recognized Board/University. Age Relaxation

Candidates from reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC, etc.) can get extra relaxation to the age limit, also due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all candidates can get an extra three years relaxation to the upper age limit. Check the table below for more details.

SSC GD Nationality

Candidates need to check other important eligibility requirements like nationality, To be eligible or GD, candidates must be from one of the following:

  • Indian citizens
  • Citizens of Nepal or Bhutan
  • Tibetan refugees who came to India before January 1, 1962
  • Indian-origin persons from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, who moved to India to settle here permanently

SSC GD Qualification

Candidates must pass their 10th grade (Matriculation) from a recognized board or equivalent university.

SSC GD PST/PET 2025

In the Central Armed Forces, physical standards help make sure that candidates are fit for service in different departments. Candidates who pass the computer-based test will be called for the Physical Eligibility Test (PET) and the Physical Standard Test (PST). These tests are held at different locations chosen by the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF).

SSC GD Physical Efficiency Test

For other regions except Ladakh: Male: Candidates have to complete 5 Km in 24 minutes. Female: Candidates have to complete 1.6 Km in 8.5 minutes. For the Laddakh region refer to the table below:

SSC GD Medical Examination
