Every year, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) announces the SSC CGL Exam to recruit candidates for various Group B and C jobs in different ministries across India. To get selected, candidates must pass a two-tier examination. Candidates must have a completed graduation degree. Candidates need to have all necessary documents to prove they meet these eligibility requirements at the time of document verification. SSC CGL Eligibility 2024
To be eligible for the SSC CGL exam:
- You should have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
- Meet the age limit, There are age relaxations for certain categories.
- Should check the physical standards.
- Nationality criteria

SSC CGL Age Limit 2024
Candidates have to come within the age range as mentioned in the notification which is 18 to 30 years for the various posts, some categories get age relaxations.

SSC CGL Physical Standards
Candidates have to meet certain physical and medical standards for the SSC CGL 2024. The requirements differ for males and females and include measurements like height, weight, and chest size mentioned below.

SSC CGL Nationality
Nationality is an important requirement to check before applying for the exam. To be eligible, you must be:
- An Indian citizen
- A citizen of Nepal
- A citizen of Bhutan
- A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962, with the intention of settling here permanently
- A person of Indian origin who has moved from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or East African countries like Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam, and intends to settle in India permanently
Tier-wise SSC CGL Qualification Requirements 2024
The SSC CGL exam has two parts: Tier 1 and Tier 2. Tier 1 is a multiple-choice test with questions on four subjects: General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness and Current Affairs, English, and Quantitative Aptitude. Tier 2 is also a multiple- choice test with five section: Reasoning, Maths, GK&GS , English and Computer test, check the table below
