Gobindgarh Fort Amritsar Built in the 1760s by Gujar Singh Bhangi, rebuilt in the early 19th century by Maharaja Ranjit Singh. Opened to the public in 2017.
Maharaja Ranjit Singh Fort (Phillaur Fort) Jalandhar District (GT Road) Originally built during Shah Jahan’s reign as an Imperial Saran, rebuilt in 1809 as a fort by Diwan Mohakam Chand. Currently used as the Punjab Police Training Centre with a museum.
Shahpur Kandi Fort Pathankot District Built in 1505 by Jaspal Singh Pathania on the banks of River Ravi. Now a rest house.
Doraha Fort Ludhiana District Built amidst lush landscape, also known as ‘Rang De Basanti’ Fort.
Anandgarh Sahib Fort Anandpur Sahib Built in 1689 by Guru Gobind Singh, it was a strategic fort with five majestic forts. The main fort still stands today. Annual Hola Mohalla festival is celebrated here.
Qila Keshgarh Sahib Anandpur Sahib The principal shrine where Guru Gobind Singh Ji founded Khalsa Panth in 1699.
Qila Lohgarh Sahib Anandpur Sahib Used by Guru Gobind Singh Ji as a factory for manufacturing arms.
Qila Holgarh Sahib Anandpur Sahib Hosted the Hola Mohalla celebrations with wrestling, sword-wielding, and Gatka competitions organized by Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
Qila Fatehgarh Sahib Anandpur Sahib Named after Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s younger son, Sahibzada Fateh Singh.
Qila Taragarh Sahib Anandpur Sahib Built to stop hill armies before they reached Anandpur, situated on top of a hill for strategic advantage.
Bharatgarh Fort Ropar District Built in 1783, it was the stronghold of the Singhpuria Misl and is still occupied by its descendants.
Qila Mubarak (Faridkot) Faridkot One of Punjab’s oldest forts, stretching over 10 acres. Built by Raja Mokalsi and refurbished by Raja Hamir Singh. Features a Sheesh Mahal and Durbar Hall.
Qila Mubarak (Bathinda Fort) Bathinda Built in 90-110 AD by Raja Dab, used to prevent Huns from invading Emperor Kanishka’s kingdom. Associated with Guru Gobind Singh and also known as Razia Sultana Fort.
Qila Mubarak (Patiala) Patiala Built by Baba Ala Singh and completed by Maharaja Amar Singh. Divided into Qila Androon (inner) and outer sections with Kangra and Rajasthan-style murals inside.
Bahadurgarh Fort Patiala District Built by Nawab Saif Khan in 1658, renovated by Maharaja Karam Singh. Named in tribute to Guru Teg Bahadur. It contains a Gurdwara Sahib Patshahi Nauvin and a mosque built in 1668.
