Empowering Entrepreneurs

The PM-SURAJ portal is intended to empower 100,000 entrepreneurs from vulnerable communities. Through access to credit support the government wants to stimulate entrepreneurial activity and economic development among marginalized sections. Distribution of Ayushman Health Cards and PPE Kits

Under the National Action on Mechanized Sanitation Ecosystem (NAMASTE) program, Ministry of Jal Shakti distributed Ayushman health cards and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits. Ayushman health cards allow beneficiaries to avail cashless healthcare services under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY). PPE kits are aimed at protecting front-line workers, especially Safai Mitras – sewer/septic tank workers from hazards or diseases that may arise out of their line of duty.

The event highlighted the government’s commitment to ensuring “Vanchiton Ko Variyata”, equal support for historically deprived communities.
