Oscar Awards 2023 Winners India

India won 2 Oscar Awards in the 95th Academy Awards 2023 which is a proud moment for India. The Best Original Song was won by RRR’s Naatu Naatu and the Best Documentary Short Movie was won by the Elephant Whisperers.

The Telugu song “Naatu Naatu” by MM Keeravaani and Chandrabose from the film RRR received the Academy or Oscar Award 2023 for best original song. Applause (Tell It Like a Woman), Hold My Hand (Top Gun: Maverick), Raise Me Up (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever), and This Is a Life were also up for the Best Original Song Award (Everything Everywhere All at Once). Previously, at the 81st Academy Awards in February 2009, the Hindi song Jai Ho from Slumdog Millionaire won an Oscar Award for Best Original Song.

The 95th Academy Awards have awarded The Elephant Whisperers, which was produced and directed by Guneet Monga, Best Documentary Short Subject. Haulout, The Martha Mitchell Effect, Stranger At The Gate, and How Do You Measure A Year were the other four finalists in this category. An orphaned elephant calf named Raghu is taken care of by an indigenous couple named Bomman and Belli in the story The Elephant Whisperers, which is set in the Mudumalai National Park. In December 2022, The Elephant Whisperers became available on Netflix.
