Union Public Service Commission has released the NDA 1 Exam Date 2024 on its official website. The Commission is going to conduct the NDA 1 2025 Exam on 13 April across various centres. The NDA 1 Exam 2025 is a much-awaited opportunity for young aspirants who wish to join the Army, Navy, or Air Force.

NDA 1 Exam Date 2025 Out

National Defence Academy (NDA) is one of India’s most prestigious competitive entrance examinations. The Union Public Service Commission conducts the two times a year, which gives enthusiastic youths an opportunity to join the country’s most respected forces: the Army, the Navy, and the Air Force. The commission has scheduled the NDA 1 Exam on 13 April 2025 in the Pen and Paper-based (Offline) Mode.

UPSC NDA Selection Process

• Examination Format: The NDA exam is conducted offline and consists of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
• Language Options: Questions are presented in both English and Hindi languages.
• Negative Marking: Negative marking is applicable, deducting 0.83 marks for incorrect answers in the Mathematics section and 1.33 marks for both the English and General Knowledge sections.

NDA 1 Eligibility Criteria 2025

The NDA Eligibility Criteria 2025 are as follows:

NDA Nationality

• Candidates must be Indian citizens, subjects of Nepal, subjects of Bhutan, or refugees of Tibetan origin who arrived in India before January 1, 1962, with the intent to settle permanently.
• Candidates who have migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, or certain East African countries with the intention of settling in India can also apply.
• Foreign nationals (except Gorkhas) will need a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

NDA Age Limit 2024

• For NDA 1 2024, candidates must be unmarried and born between July 2, 2006, to July 1, 2009.
• For NDA 2 2024, candidates should be born between July 2, 2006, to July 1, 2009.

NDA Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have passed or be appearing in Class 12.
• Those applying for the Air Force, Navy, and Naval Academy must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Maths in Class 12.

Gender & Marital Status

• Both male and female candidates are eligible to apply, but candidates are not allowed to marry until they complete their training period.

NDA Physical Standards

Candidates must meet the prescribed physical fitness standards to be eligible for the exam.

What is NDA Salary?

NDA salaries are based on experience and performance. The NDA Officer Salary is INR 56,100 per month. The highest salary is INR 2,50,000 per month for the Chief of Army Staff. Other factors that affect NDA salaries include: 

• Allowances, such as:

• • Dearness Allowance
  • Transportation Allowance
  • House Rent Allowance
• Military Service Pay (MSP) of INR 15,500 per month for officers from the rank of Lt to Brig

NDA salaries also include: 

• INR 6,750 per month per child for the two eldest surviving children from Nursery to class 12th
• Ration in Field Area and Peace Area to all Defense
