  • Marks: Each question carries four marks, totaling 500 marks.

  • Qualifying Marks: Minimum 150 marks required (100 for reserved categories) to proceed to the Main Exam.

Main Examination

  • Format: Subjective written papers, six in total (five written and one viva-voce).
  • Qualifying Marks: A candidate must secure at least 33% marks in each written paper.
  • Duration: Three hours for each written test.

Interview (Viva-voce)

  • Eligibility: To qualify, a candidate needs an aggregate score of at least 50% in all Main Exam papers.
  • Marks: Interview is worth 200 marks.
  • Language: Conducted in English.
  • Qualifying Marks: 45% for Scheduled Caste, Backward Classes, Physically Handicapped, and Ex-Serviceman candidates.
  • Selection: Candidates called for the interview shall not exceed three times the number of vacancies.
