Nayab Saini-Led BJP Govt in Haryana Loses Majority
In a significant blow to the ruling BJP in Haryana, three Independent MLAs withdrew their support from the Nayab Singh Saini-led government, aligning themselves with the Congress amidst the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. This move reduces Saini’s government to a minority, prompting calls from former CM Hooda for immediate assembly polls. The Independent MLAs cited concerns over unemployment and inflation as reasons for their withdrawal of support. With this development, the BJP government in Haryana has lost its majority, signaling a significant shift in the state’s political landscape.

Haryana Chief Minister ML Khattar And Cabinet Submit Resignation
The main reason for the resignation of CM ML Khattar is believed to be disagreements between the BJP and the JJP over seat-sharing for the upcoming Lok Sabha (national parliament) elections. The JJP reportedly demanded two seats, which the BJP is hesitant to give.
With the resignation, the state government is in a precarious position. The Governor is likely to decide on the next steps, which could involve asking Khattar to form a new government, imposing President’s Rule, or exploring alternative alliances. This political turmoil might delay government functioning and decision-making in the state.

I had told the people of the state that the BJP-JJP had an undeclared agreement to break the alliance. This time, at the behest of the BJP, the JJP and INLD will come separately to make a dent in the Congress vote.
