Exploring strategies to spread and internalize universal ideals while promoting cooperation among Dharma practitioners across philosophical, cultural, and national divides is the fundamental goal of the event. The ultimate objective is to solve urgent global issues and create a paradigm for a lasting, peaceful, and harmonious future.

Participating in debates on current concerns facing the globe, eminent academics, Sangha leaders, and Dharma practitioners from all over the world will look to the Buddha’s Dhamma (in Pali) or Dharma (in Sanskrit), which is founded on universal principles, for guidance.

Global Buddhist Conference

The International Buddhist Confederation, an umbrella organization that provides a platform for Buddhists around the world, is in charge of organizing the event. A number of topics will be covered at the conference, including Buddhism and peace, the environmental problem, human health, and sustainability, the preservation of the Nalanda Buddhist tradition, Buddhist pilgrimage, living heritage, and Buddha relics.

The summit comes after a two-day conference on shared Buddhist heritage that participants from Central Asia, East Asia, South Asia, and Arab countries attended and which was organized by India as chair of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO).
