G20 Delhi Declaration has been adopted by G20 Leaders

New Delhi Declaration was adopted at the G20 Summit after days of speculation and skepticism, a consensus was reached. The big development was welcomed by several leaders and officials, who said the “historic” document recognises Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s emphasis on human-centric globalisation.

G20 Summit, organised in New Delhi on 9-10 September 2023, under the theme ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’. We meet at a defining moment in history where the decisions we make now will determine the future of our people and our planet. It is with the philosophy of living in harmony with our surrounding ecosystem that we commit to concrete actions to address global challenges.

G20 Delhi Declaration Overview

G20 Delhi Declaration is essential in determining the course the world takes. Headwinds to global economic growth and stability persist. Years of cascading challenges and crises have reversed gains in the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals
(SDGs). Global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions continue to increase, with climate change, biodiversity loss, pollution, drought, land degradation and desertification threatening lives and livelihoods. Rising commodity prices, including food and energy

G20 Delhi Declaration 

New Delhi Declaration a historic and path-breaking was adopted with 100% consensus on all developmental and geopolitical issues. The reference to geopolitics is especially important given the backdrop of the Russia-Ukraine conflict. The declaration noted with deep concern the immense human suffering and the adverse impact of wars and conflicts around the world. The announcement about the consensus on the declaration and its subsequent adoption came hours after India circulated a new text to the G20 countries to describe the Ukraine conflict.

The declaration also saw the mention of Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment), a global plan of action that aims to save the planet from the disastrous consequences of climate change. Indian PM urged to urgently accelerate the actions to address development and climate challenges, promote Lifestyles for Sustainable Development (LiFE), and conserve biodiversity, forests and oceans,”

The Ministers Meeting of G20 Summit 2023 will be held in New Delhi at Bharat Mandapam International Exhibition-Convention Centre (IECC).

• India-Middle East-Europe-USA Corridor has been proposed and passed by the leaders of these countries.
• Global Biofuel Alliance has been created by the member countries which will emphasise on the maximum use of Biofuel.
