CGPSC Notification 2025 Out
The Commission conduct the CGPSC Selection Process in three Stages. Preliminary exams will be the first stage, followed by the main and personality tests. Candidates are brought in for a personality test if they have passed both written exams. CGPSC Apply Online will be filled from December 1, 2024 (12 noon) onto December 30, 2024 (11:59 pm) At each step, candidates must achieve the minimal CGPSC cut-off imposed by the commission. CGPSC Eligibility Criteria 2025
To qualify for the positions in the CGPSC Exam, candidates must meet a number of CGPSC SSE eligibility requirements. To learn more about the requirements, read on:
Age Limit The maximum age requirement states that the applicant must not have reached that age on the date set forth for the specific recruitment year. The age restriction for the CGPSC Exam will be in line with the official notification for 2025.

Educational Qualification To be qualified, applicants for the CGPSC State Service Exam must hold a graduate degree from a university or board that is recognised.
CGPSC Selection Process
Only those applicants who receive the required minimum score in the preliminary exam will be permitted to take the CGPSC main exam. Only candidates who pass the preliminaries are chosen to take the main exam. At the time of finals selection, preliminarily earned marks will not be taken into account. Candidates will be invited to the interview round if they meet the mains examination cut-off score established by the Board for each category. The candidates’ scores in the main exam and interview will be used to determine the final merit list. The three stages for the CGPSC exam are:
- Preliminary Examination

- Personality Test
CGPSC Exam Pattern 2025
There will be two required, two-hour-long papers for the CGPSC SSE Prelims. The questions will be multiple-choice, objective-type questions. There is deduction of marks for each wrong answer which will result in a 1/3 mark deduction.

CGPSC Mains Exam Pattern
The mains exam’s question paper will be of the traditional, short-medium-long answer variety. The CGPSC main examination consists of seven papers worth 200 points each and an interview worth 150 points. Every incorrect response results in a 1/3 deduction from the final grade.
