The Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) has officially announced the interview schedule for the State Service Exam (SSE) 2023. A total of 703 candidates have been shortlisted for the interview process, which will take place from October 15 to November 5, 2024.
Key Details of the Interview Schedule:
- Document Verification: This will occur one day prior to each candidate’s interview. It is mandatory for candidates to attend this verification to be eligible for the interview.
- Timing for Document Verification:
- First Shift: 10 AM – 1 PM (Candidates must arrive by 9:30 AM)
- Second Shift: 2 PM – 5 PM (Candidates must arrive by 1:30 PM)
- Interview Process: The interviews will assess the candidates who successfully passed the mains examination.

Candidates must bring several important documents, including:
- CGPSC SSE admit card
- Mains exam result and scorecard
- Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and certificates
- Graduation degree or equivalent qualification certificate

CGPSC SSE Eligibility Criteria 2024

Age Limit
The maximum age requirement states that the applicant must not have reached that age on the date set forth for the specific recruitment year. The age restriction for the CGPSC Exam will be in line with the official notification for 2024. The anticipated age limit for 2024 is

Educational Qualification
To be qualified, applicants for the CGPSC State Service Exam must hold a graduate degree from a university or board that is recognised.
CGPSC Selection Process
Only those applicants who receive the required minimum score in the preliminary exam will be permitted to take the CGPSC main exam. Only candidates who pass the preliminaries are chosen to take the main exam. At the time of finals selection, preliminarily earned marks will not be taken into account. Candidates will be invited to the interview round if they meet the mains examination cut-off score established by the Board for each category. The candidates’ scores in the main exam and interview will be used to determine the final merit list. The three stages for the CGPSC exam are:

CGPSC Exam Pattern
There will be two required, two-hour-long papers for the CGPSC SSE Prelims. The questions will be multiple-choice, objective-type questions. There is deduction of marks for each wrong answer which will result in a 1/3 mark deduction.

CGPSC Mains Exam Pattern
The mains exam’s question paper will be of the traditional, short-medium-long answer variety. The CGPSC main examination consists of seven papers worth 200 points each and an interview worth 150 points. Every incorrect response results in a 1/3 deduction from the final grade.
