The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced 459 vacancies for the Combined Defence Services (CDS) 2 2024 exam. The vacancies are distributed across the following academies:

UPSC CDS 2 Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

Candidate must be unmarried and can be:

- A Citizen of India
- A subject of Nepal
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from specified countries intending to permanently settle in India. Such candidates require a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

Age Limit

Minimum age: 19 years
Maximum age:
- Indian Military Academy (IMA) and Officers’ Training Academy (OTA): 24 years
- Indian Naval Academy (INA): 25 years
- Air Force Academy (AFA): 25 years

Educational Qualification

Indian Military Academy (IMA) and Officers’ Training Academy (OTA): Graduate
Indian Naval Academy (INA): Bachelors in Engineering
Air Force Academy (AFA): Graduated with Physics and Mathematics in Class 12th or Bachelor of Engineering

Physical Eligibility

Male Candidates:
- Minimum height: 157.5 cm
- Weight: Proportionate to height, starting from 50 kg for 152 cm height, increasing by 0.5 kg for every additional cm of height.
Female Candidates:
- Minimum height: 152 cm
- Weight: Proportionate to height, starting from 46 kg for 152 cm height, increasing by 0.5 kg for every additional cm of height.
