The Ayurveda Gyan Naipunya Initiative (AGNI) Initiative is a program launched by the Central Council for Research in Ayurveda Sciences (CCRAS), Ministry of Ayush, to promote and support research and documentation of innovative practices in Ayurveda. Goals and Purposes of AGNI Initiative
- Encouraging Evidence-Based Practices: Aimed at fostering a culture of documenting and reporting evidence-based practices among Ayurveda practitioners.
- Establishing a Reporting Platform: Creating a venue for Ayurveda professionals to share their novel practices and experiences in treating various health conditions.
- Documenting Successful Treatments: Compiling effective treatment methods for various diseases to serve educational and academic needs.
- Fostering Collaboration and Capacity Building: Identifying practitioners keen on collaboration and enhancing their skills through training in research methodologies and clinical practices.
- Research and Mainstreaming of Practices: Conducting research to bring practical, pragmatic practices into the mainstream through scientific substantiation and evidence-based evaluation.
Collaborative Efforts with Institutions of AGNI Initiative
CCRAS will collaborate in recording and disseminating medical practices and therapeutic approaches, working alongside the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) for purposes that benefit education and academia.
